The Broward school district announced the 2019 calendar on Wednesday, announcing the school year would be Oct. 15 to Dec. 6, with two more days for spring break.
Schools will also be open during their spring break and fall break, with the schools closing to students during the summer.
The district also announced a $5 million “HIGH SPOT” fund to help cover travel expenses for families of students with special needs.
The calendar will include a look at the schools in Broward, the Orlando and Miami-Dade counties and other areas.
The school district is located in the Tampa Bay area and encompasses more than 100,000 students.
