Dade County Public Schools is adding an online math course to the school district’s curriculum, according to a news release.
The course, entitled “The Dade Mathematics Classroom,” is being offered by the Dade School District.
The online class will be available to the public for free, according the release.
According to the release, the online class is “designed to provide students with the foundation necessary for the development of mathematical abilities that are needed to succeed in life.”
The class will begin with the basic concept of adding, subtracting and multiplying, with more advanced topics including linear algebra, geometry, and fractions.
The school district is offering the course on its website for free.
Students can access the online course from the Dades Education website and download the course from their mobile devices.
The Dades Department of Mathematics has offered similar courses for free for more than 10 years.
Dade Public Schools did not immediately respond to a request for comment from ABC News.
The first online class in the DADES program was introduced in 2015.
Since then, Dade Public School has introduced an online mathematics course called “The Mathematics Class,” which has been offered for free at the Dadces Education website.
